This herbal extract contains a variety of natural compounds that give it 3 very important “anti” properties:

  • Antiviral.  Studies have shown oregano to have antiviral properties and is used to help treat respiratory and gastrointestinal issues.
  • Antioxidant.  Oregano oil contains high concentrations of antioxidants to help fight against free radicals
  • Antibacterial.  Two of the  oils in oregano (thymol and carvacrol) have been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria.

How to take Oil of Oregano

Capsules

Oil of Oregano comes in capsule form, which is very easy to take.  Here are two brands that have increased the potency of the Oregano oil to 70%  carvacrol.
